This half day workshop explored how charities and philanthropists can use blockchain and cryptocurrencies to make the maximum impact for their giving as well as understanding some of the possible pitfalls and risks.

Our inaugural event on blockchain in healthcare took place in 2017 and was the first of its kind in the UK. Held at techUK, the event assembled 100 delegates for a Blockchain for Healthcare 101, followed by use cases and real world examples of innovation.

This evening debate looked at the challenges facing the NHS including staffing shortages, rising costs and data management and asked how and whether blockchain might help?

In Times Square, NYC, Helen Disney announced the launch of the Distributed Ledger Foundation to an audience of 1000 people in addition to 60,000 who watched the livestream. The launch was followed up by two workshops on policy, governance and standards which took place at Stanford (May) and at the ICAEW in London (June 2018).

Energy Unblocked covered blockchain applications in the energy sector, showcasing leading innovators and explaining how to harness frontier technologies for the good of business as well as the planet. Delegates heard about how blockchain is changing energy markets and potentially leading us to a more sustainable, lower carbon economy.

The UK’s only one day conference exploring the benefits of blockchain to the creative industries including music, film, TV, media, adtech and marketing. The event asked is blockchain transforming the music, film and entertainment business to benefit creators? And can micropayments facilitated by cryptocurrencies save the media? 

Unblocked Events created the content, conducted all speaker management and MC-ed the first ever Blockchain Alternative Investment Conference in London. BAI conference exclusively focused on institutional investors, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, private banks, family offices, and accredited individuals. Opening with a speaker dinner at the Savoy Hotel, the event attracted over 1000 attendees and featured the top blockchain experts and CEOs.

In its 2nd year, Healthcare Unblocked doubled in size bringing together 200 delegates interested in advancing blockchain in healthcare. Topics covered included genomic data, longevity, patient empowerment and new business models enabled by tokenisation.

Unblocked Events worked with blockchain startup Blockpass to create a series of leading security token events to help educate and inform business, investors and policymakers wishing to explore this trend and to help build the community that will drive the security token ecosystem of the future.

Unblocked worked with Blockpass to hold a private dinner and discussion on the evolution of security tokens.

In 2019, we launched our flagship one day event on blockchain in supply chain and logistics, covering agtech, food, mining, trade finance and shipping.

Now in its 3rd year, Healthcare Unblocked has become Europe’s must-attend conference for understanding and implementing blockchain in healthcare.
