Healthcare: Unblocked is Europe’s first public event fully dedicated to explaining, understanding and pursuing the potential of Blockchain technology to deliver healthcare innovation. Did you know that Blockchain projects in healthcare are already a reality and that many other exciting new projects are being conceptualised or piloted right now? A recent report from Deloitte showed that 35% of surveyed healthcare and life sciences organisations plan to deploy blockchain technology in the coming year: this would outpace blockchain adoption in other industries. And among executives with blockchain knowledge, over half (55%) said their company’s competitiveness would be hurt if they failed to adopt blockchain.
This unique conference will include a user-friendly introduction, designed to brief newcomers on what Blockchain technology is all about and why it is set to transform healthcare. This will be followed by a deeper look into specific areas where Blockchain and Distributed Ledger technology is creating waves of innovation – from improving the quality and integrity of medical data, reducing the threat of counterfeit medicines, through to speeding up healthcare insurance claims, and transforming the possibilities of wearables to enhance wellness.
We have assembled a Who’s Who of Blockchain pioneers in healthcare including speakers from Solve.Care Foundation, Botanic.io, Qadre, Distlytics, Zenome and The IOTA Foundation, as well as a start up showcase of new Blockchain healthcare applications.
